T. Le Said: cute but flimsy ( Nov. 23rd 2009 )
My son received this as a gift for his 2nd birthday. Needless to say, he is a huge CARS fan, he has tons of CARS theme items. When we opened this, I thought, "wow, this is great!" This thing is soooo lightweight and flimsy it's ridiculous. Again, its very cute but you barely lean on this thing and it tips over. Definitely not worth the full price, but if you can find it for $20.00 it's not too bad.
Always a mom, finally a parent! Said: Lucky purchase! ( Oct. 9th 2009 )
Taking into account the last review dated 09/26/2009, I also purchased this at Ross for twenty four dollars. I believe it's just a lucky purchase for some of us because we got it cheap. This either means that it's been out for awhile or it was overstock from a major retailer. I'm buying now for Christmas for an 18 month old who will be 21 months old by Christmas. It seems durable enough and my son already makes "vroom vroom" noises and always imitates driving (steering wheel) and wants to get in the driver's seat of all vehicles so he can pretend he's driving. What a "boy!" Everytime daddy mentions the word "garage," he cries to follow him there so I thought I'd get him his own tool cart.

i feel sorry for everyone who paid so much money for this bench its a good toy but definetly not worth $80. i found it at ross in perfect condition for only $24 what a steal =)

I believe this toy is not only a fun toy but it has educational aspects. He is learning which tool does what, he hangs his "tools" up on the tool holders. He is learning to handle the tools properly and is giving him practice with working with his hands. He absolutely loves this workbench.

This is a great little toy for the Lightning McQueen fan in your life. Our 3-year old went ballistic when the box came in the mail for his birthday. Love the little tools that he can use to attach the parts to the tool bench. Just wish there were more "working" parts to "repair" a character from the movie. He gets bored just putting nuts onto bolts. Yes, this can make a big mess when the kid decides to dump out all the drawers - but that's kinda par for the course with any toy. Wish the elastic was longer on the goggles. Kid loves them, but they are adjusted to the longest length and still too tight on him (he was a preemie, so his head is actually on the smaller side). The toy was easy to set up - even with "help" from little hands. Everything snapped into place - no tools needed and thankfully no stickers to apply. I love watching the kiddo use his fine motor skills to attach items - just wish there were more character parts so he could play a bit more with it.
